This Privacy Policy explains how Veleno BBS processes information when you access the web portal, create or use a BBS account, authenticate, participate in community functions, use files, messages, games or other services.
Veleno BBS is the service responsible for the processing described in this policy. Privacy enquiries and requests may be sent to krueger@velenobbs.net. The operator should add its full legal identity and postal contact here where required by applicable law.
Depending on the functions you use, the service may process account and profile data, authentication/session information, content and messages you submit, technical request and security logs, IP address and browser/device information, timestamps, and preferences stored locally in your browser.
Information is processed to provide requested BBS functions and account access; maintain security, prevent abuse and diagnose faults; administer the community; comply with applicable legal obligations; and, where required, on the basis of your consent for optional browser storage or third-party content. Where legitimate interests are relied upon, they concern operation, security, integrity and abuse prevention of the service, subject to applicable law.
Veleno BBS uses essential session technology for authentication and security. Optional browser storage may remember interface, theme, mobile-control and radio preferences. Optional third-party content is controlled separately. See the Cookie Policy and use to change choices.
Some functions may embed or contact external services, for example external games, media, content delivery infrastructure or other third-party resources. When optional external content is disabled, the portal's consent layer is designed to prevent supported external embeds from loading until permission is given. A third party may receive technical connection data once its content is enabled and loaded. Its own privacy terms then apply.
Information may be available to authorised BBS administrators and to infrastructure or service providers where necessary to operate the service. External services enabled by you may process data under their own terms and may operate outside your country. Appropriate safeguards must be used where required by applicable data-protection law.
Data is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant service, security, administrative or legal purpose. Account content and BBS records may have different retention periods. Browser preferences remain on your device until removed by you or by browser controls. Session data expires or is invalidated according to the authentication system.
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect the service. No Internet service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential.
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent and the right to complain to the competent data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully carried out before withdrawal.
The service should not be used in a manner contrary to applicable age and parental-consent requirements. If the operator intentionally offers services to children, this section must be adapted to the applicable jurisdiction and actual registration rules.
This policy may be updated when the service, technology or legal requirements change. The revision date above identifies the current version.
